…Rattan is a material that grows in damp climates. In just a day, this liana-like plant can grow up to 30 cm. Once it is cut down, rattan is cleaned with sand and water and dried at least twice before the material can be used. Although rattan starts out in damp environments, it is sensitive to moisture in its finished form. In the worst case, it may begin to mould or fade in direct sunlight, so we recommend using rattan furniture indoors or on a patio beneath a roof. Rattan is a durable material. Seating made of rattan has some give, which improves the fit and comfort over time. Keep your furniture clean by brushing it with a soft brush, and then wiping with a damp cloth.
