Stainless steel

Even though stainless steel is a very durable material, we recommend regular cleaning for longer durability, especially in coastal and marine environments. This is particularly important as airborne particles can cause brown spots on the material. An indication is to clean stainless steel surfaces 4-6 times a year in exposed environments and 1-2 times a year in less exposed environments.

When cleaning, use a cleaning agent specifically designed for stainless steel. For lighter cleaning, use a soft cloth, and for more stubborn stains, use a stainless steel cleaning cloth or equivalent. Never use metal wire brushes or metal brushes. For brushed stainless steel surfaces, cleaning should be done in the direction of the grain. To avoid transferring iron particles, always ensure that cleaning materials have not been previously used on regular steel. A tip may be to clean with paraffin oil and cloth for best results. If regular cleaning is not carried out, brown spots of surface rust may occur.

Also, regularly polish with a product suitable for stainless steel. Regular car polish/wax can be used after polishing for a protective effect.
