Acacia/Hardwood

Untreated: In order for the furniture to retain its beautiful surface, it should be treated with Brafab oil. New furniture should be saturated with the oil by applying it several times in direct succession until as much as possible has been absorbed. Excess oil is wiped off. The furniture should be treated with oil several times each year, especially in spring before it is taken out for the season.

Treated: Clean with a soft cloth and a mild dishwashing detergent, then wipe dry. Wipe the furniture when it has been rained on. If the lacquer is damaged, you can sand the surface lightly with fine sandpaper to remove dirt before painting the damaged area. Test paint a small area first to make sure you have the right colour. Contact a paint shop for advice on the right product.

Whatever the colour, acacia/hardwood furniture should be protected from rain, preferably with a well-ventilated furniture cover.

At the beginning of a new season, check all screws and tighten if necessary.
